Hoxton Hotel and some travel tips for a weekend in London
by ceciliemo ~ November 14th, 2010. Filed under: Food in the UK, Hotels in the UK, Latest News, Lifestyle. Some friends are going to London in December, and were asking for some travel tips. What to do, where to shop etc. Why not make a post on the blog, and give them the link? Here goes: They are staying at fab Hoxton Hotel:
Not far from the hotel they can shop at Old Spitalfields Market – and enjoy all the market stalls with clothes, food, arts and crafts etc. If you are here for lunchtime there are several good options, and even a branch of Wagamama is found here, one of my favorites asian chain restaurants in Europe. Here is a map and some photos from Old Spitalfields Market:

If they fancy more traditional shopping – why not go to One New Change? This brand new shopping centre opened on the 28th of October, and is situated next to St Paul’s Cathedral. It includes big-hitting brands, a new Jamie Oliver restaurant and a rooftop terrace!

And for cultural experiences: Go to Tate Modern and see the Gauguin exhibition!

If you still have som time left to spend – try out lunch at The Folly. This place is amazing – it´s both a flower shop and a restaurant.
