Back in 2011 I wrote about Patina in Evanger here on my blog. And this summer I finally visited the place myself. And what a nice place! If you are driving in the western part of Norway, you must pop into Patina, close to Voss and Bergen.
Lucky me I got to meet two of the owners. We had a long chat, and they served us cakes and drinks. The coffee was delicious.
And the cakes, too!
Patina is both a café and a shop. They sell new and second hand products. The ladies are especially interested in selling local products, such as Vossebia beauty products (on the table).
The chocolate is not local, but organic chocolate from Germany, Vivani.
Decorative lifestyle products – from danish Nicolas Vahé. Delicious olive oil, herbs and fruit jam.
Upstairs you find second hand interior and new stuff for the home, e.g. decorations, pom poms and garlands from the dutch firm Engel.
The three ladies also have rooms to rent. Take a look at the Patina blog for more information and prices. Bergens biggest newspaper, BT.no, have made a video from their visit to Patina, take a look here (in Norwegian), and get to see the atmosphere in Patina, too!
